Introduction of modern, environmentally friendly and effective UVC pre-treatment for textiles

The finishing of textiles on an industrial scale often requires pre-treatment of the materials. These processes are currently carried out using wet chemistry at Thorey Gera Textilveredelung GmbH. In cooperation with Innovent e. V., the aim is to introduce an effective, economical pre-treatment to improve adhesion using UVC irradiation. The technology is suitable for activating flat textile materials and can be implemented relatively easily and inexpensively. The end result should be a UVC treatment to improve adhesion on roll-to-roll samples.
